What We Do

AIDS Awareness and Education

First and foremost the TCAAF is an awareness-generating organization.   The missionCandieandRox of the foundation is to raise awareness and eliminate the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS.   Through education and community participation, the TCAAF believes it can affect positive lifestyle and behavioral changes in the Turks and Caicos Islands, especially among young people who are most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.   In addition to its fundraising efforts and educational programs,  the TCAAF supports the efforts of the Turks and Caicos National AIDS Program.

The TCAAF is a non-profit organization, funded entirely though donations.  It implements successful fundraising efforts such as the annual World Aids Day Dinner, the Jadot Cup Golf Tournament and the Horse Racing night hosted by Price Water House Coopers to support its efforts.  Its fundraising efforts have lead to the establishment of the Edward C. Gartland Youth Center, which hosts safe, educational activities for hundreds of children helping them lead better lives and giving them the resources they need to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS.  Education Images 1Education Images 2
